Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
The Running Horse provides an original and delightful experience, with themed paddock-style seating near the pub and chalet-style bedrooms in the courtyard, some featuring their own terraces. Guests often enjoy the comfortable rooms with stable-door entrances, comfy beds, good lighting, large TVs and well-stocked bathrooms; though some found the rooms a bit small. The food receives high praise, especially the breakfast, and the location is ideal for visiting nearby attractions like Stockbridge and Winchester, with ample free parking available.

adequate, but some issues

good foodcobweb on lampchipped paint
The food was good in the restaurant. The bar was nice.
The room was not clean. cobwebs hung on the lamps, and the kettle had scale. i complained and they gave me another room, but it still had stains and chipped paint. That wasn't good.

somewhat underwhelming stay

noise levelsslow internet
I found a few things less than excellent. the noise levels were a problem. i could hear other guests quite clearly through the walls. it made relaxing difficult. the advertised high-speed internet was more like 'moderate-speed-if-you're-lucky' internet. streaming anything was a lesson in patience. i also think the breakfast buffet needed more attention. Some items seemed like they had been sitting out a bit too long.
